Western Caucus Foundation releases digital ad on the Daines/LaMalfa forest fire prevention bill
Legislation will help protect communities and watersheds from catastrophic forest fires.
Washington, D.C. (September 17, 2020) – The Western Caucus Foundation has released a digital ad on legislation by Senate Western Caucus Chairman Senator Steve Daines (MT) and Congressional Western Caucus Vice Chairman Rep. LaMalfa (CA-1) that will help prevent forest fires. This education video will run in Washington, DC, and across the west on various digital communications channels and Facebook.
“The Foundation is advancing a communications effort to educate policy makers and the public on the need for legislation to enable the U.S. Forest Service and other federal land agencies to further reduce the threat of wildfire to communities and watersheds,” said Darrell Henry, Executive Director of the Western Caucus Foundation.
“The Senate and Congressional Western Caucuses have long been the leaders in Congress promoting responsible forest management,” said Henry.
The bipartisan, bicameral Emergency Wildfire and Public Safety Act, S. 4431, will institute better land management practices in our national forests, parks, and other federally managed lands.
The Emergency Wildfire and Public Safety Act, S. 4431, co-sponsored by Democrat Senator Diane Feinstein, would help advance necessary forest management projects in a timely and responsible manner to prevent future catastrophic wildfires.
