AMERICAN ENERGY VICTORY
The Energy, Climate, and Grid Security Subcommittee has approved the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) to carry natural gas from West Virginia to the Southeastern U.S.
This is a great win for Americans who rely on natural gas (which, spoiler alert: is everyone), and a great step forward for American energy dominance and security.

WESTERN CAUCUS UPDATES
The “No American Land for Communist China Act” was introduced by Congressional Western Caucus Chairman Dan Newhouse (WA-04) on Wednesday, June 12.
The legislation aims to bar the CCP or any business owned by it from buying land next to federal land.
“From spying on sensitive national security sites to buying up American farmland, it is clear we are vulnerable to their malicious efforts.”
– Chairman Newhouse
Western Caucus member Rep. Harriet Hageman (WY at-large) introduced a joint resolution per a CRA against mandating electric identification (EID) eartags for livestock crossing state lines.
Senate Western Caucus Chair Cynthia Lummis (WY) introduced an adjacent resolution in the Senate.
Members argue that there is already an effective system for monitoring livestock, and trackers would be expensive, unnecessary, and would lead to federal overreach experienced by farmers and ranchers.
