The Western Caucus Foundation was proud to host more than 70 Western Caucus members, staff, and stakeholders for a field tour in New Orleans where they toured Chevron Oronite, Venture Global LNG, and took a tour of the Davis Pond Diversion Project that is helping restore the coastal wetlands. The group was also briefed by the Louisiana CPRA and attended panel discussions on Rice’s Whale and Offshore Leasing’s contribution to conservation.

Congressional Western Caucus leaders, including Chairman Dan Newhouse (WA-04) and Vice Chairs Rep. Doug LaMalfa (CA-01), and Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-07), have put forward a bill aimed at overturning President Biden’s Executive Order 14072 and halting the U.S. Forest Service’s progress on the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Old-Growth Amendment Plan.
